What is Green  fungus (Aspergillosis)-
Green fungus(Aspergillosis), is an infection caused by Aspergillus.Green fungus is a common type of mold that lives indoors and outdoors. Most people breathe in Aspergillus spores every day without getting sick.
Symptoms –

Nose bleeding in green fungus


1. High fever
2. Nose bleeding
3. Severe weight loss
4. Weakness
5. Shortness of breathe
6. Runny nose
7. Reduced ability to smell
8. Headache
9. Wheezing
10. Cough
11. Less urine
12. Blood in urine

How does it spread?
For people with healthy immune systems, inhaling Aspergillus spores is not harmful. But for weakened immune systems, breathing it’s spores in may cause infection in the lungs or sinuses.
It can then affect other parts of the body. If the infection goes untreated, it can cause infectious pneumonia.
Is it contagious?
It is not contagious and cannot be transmitted from one human being to another or  between people and animals.
Why is it called Green fungus ?


It is not that the fungal infection gives colour shades in the body. Green fungus name is because the colour appears during its culture in the lab while testing it.
Mucormycosis gives black colour, while cindrella gives white and aspergillus gives green along with them yellow colour is a different species.
Causes-
1. Stored grain
2. Decaying vegetation
3. Compost piles
4. Marijuana leaves
Risk factors-
People at highest risk of infection who have following problems –
1. Weakened immune system
2.Tuberculosis
3. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
4. Sarcoidosis
5. Cancer patient with undergoing chemotherapy
6. Organ transplanted
7. Taking high doses of corticosteroids

1. Keep good hygiene
