Mask should not be used for over 8 hours and should be discarded if it gets wet or soiled. Patients are directed to wear a triple – layer mask. Caregivers who come in close contact with patients should also wear a mask. Both patients and caregivers can wear N-95 face masks. Before they are discarded, masks should be treated with 1% sodium hypochlorite.

Patients are directed to update their treating physician with their condition regularly. Those who have comorbidities should consult a physician before taking additional medicines.

Prescribed medicines for mild symptoms are usually as follows-
1• For mild throat infection Azithromycin 500mg once a day
2 • For fever Parcetamol 500mg thrice a day
3 • Multivitamins such as Vitamin B- complex, Vitamin C, Zinc
4 • As immunity booster Sanshamni Vati and AYUSH Kwath once a day
Along with then medicines, patients have also been advised to take steam twice a day or may use warm water to gargle.
Yoga and meditation are also part of prescription to recover speedily.

Do Remdesivir administration allowed at home isolation?

Only the treating physician can take the decision regarding Remdesivir. The latest guidelines say that patients should not be given Remdesivir at home as it must be administered in a hospital setting.
Do patient in home isolation need to be tested again after the quarantine period gets over?

As per the latest guidelines, people do not need to have a repeat test when their home isolation period get over. They can involve back in their families and get back to their work without repeat testing without any fear of infecting others.
