One of the most promised medications in Ayurveda is Triphla Churna and it is widely recommended for building immunity, weight loss, treating pain etc.
Triphla Churna is a powder, combination of three fruits-
1) Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)
2) Bibhitaka (Terminalia belerica)
3) Amla (Emblica officinalis)
These fruits are dried thoroughly, powdered and mixed in the right proportions to make this preparation.
Chemical composition –
The major constituents of formula are the tannins, gallic acid, ellagic acid and chebulimic acid, which are potent antioxidants that may account for immunomodulatory activity.
Triphla also contains other bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, anthroquinones, amino acids, fatty acids and various carbohydrates.
Triphla is generally used as a mild bowel cleanser as it promotes digestion. The synergistic effect of these three ingredients has a unique potential to detoxify and rejuvenate the body.

Haritaki detoxifies the body and helps in losing weight.
Triphla is available in powder, juice, tincture, extract, capsule, or tablet form.
