According to Ayurveda after the delivery of a baby, new mothers have aggravated Vata that causes various common problems like weakness and low energy levels. Taking Dashmularishta helps to control aggravation of Vata and restore energy levels and optimum health of women because of Vata balancing and Balya (strength provider) properties.
• Period Pain
Period Pain in medical terminology is called Dysmenorrhea. It is the pain or cramps caused during or before a menstrual period. In Ayurveda, this condition is known as Kasht-Aartava. According to Ayurveda, Aartava or Menstruation is controlled and governed by Vata dosha. So, it is important to control the Vata in order to manage dysmenorrhea. Dashmularishta has Vata balancing property which provides relief in dysmenorrhea. It controls aggravated Vata and reduces abdominal pain and cramps during the menstrual cycle.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is known as Aamavata in Ayurveda. Amavata is a disease in which aggravation of Vata dosha and accumulation of Ama (toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion) takes place in the joints. Amavata starts with a weak digestive fire and leads to the formation of Ama. It is carried to different parts of the body through Vata. This Ama, instead of being absorbed in the body, gets accumulated in the joints. Taking Dashmularishta helps to reduce Ama and controls the Vata due to its Vata balancing and Ama Pachana (digestive) properties. These properties provide relief in the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis-like joint pain and swelling.
• Osteoarthritis
According to Ayurveda, osteoarthritis occurs due to an aggravation of Vata dosha and is known as Sandhivata. It causes pain, swelling, and reduced joint mobility. Dashmularishta has Vata balancing and Sothhar (anti-inflammatory) properties which give relief from the symptoms of osteoarthritis like pain and swelling in the joints.
• Fatigue
Dashmularishta is useful to manage fatigue in day-to-day life. Fatigue refers to a feeling of tiredness, weakness, or lack of energy. According to Ayurveda, fatigue is referred to as klama which is caused due to an imbalance in Kapha dosha. Dashmularishta helps to reduce the symptoms of fatigue due to its Balya (strength provider) and Kapha balancing nature.
• Indigestion
According to Ayurveda, indigestion is termed as Agnimandya. It occurs due to an imbalance of Pitta dosha. Whenever the ingested food is left undigested due to Mand Agni (low digestive fire), it results in the formation of Ama (toxic remains in the body due to improper digestion) and causes indigestion. Dashmularishta helps enhance the Agni, thus leading to improved digestion due to its Deepan (appetizer) and Pachan (digestion) properties.
• Relieves Mental Stress
Dashmularishta provides a psychological boost to women and strengthens their mind and body. It works as a rejuvenator in improving their mental health.
• Improves Skin
Dashmularishta helps in improving the skin complexion and provides a natural glow to the skin. It helps in eliminating dark spots, acne, and dark circles present on the skin.
