Mukta Pishti
Mukta Pishti or Moti Pishti is an ayurvedic mineral formulation that is made from rare, purified freshwater Pearl paste infused in pure Rosewater. It is the natural and purest source of Calcium and is usually white. Mukta Pishti consists of 10-14% Conchiolin, 82-86% of Calcium carbonate, and 2-4% of water. It features a nice fragrance but has no characteristic taste.
Being sweet and light, it pacifies the Kapha (earth and water) and Pitta (fire and air) doshas, but if used in large quantities, it can aggravate the Vata (air) doshas.
Description of Mukta –
Muktas or pearls have been known for their curative properties since long time. Filled with amino acids, calcium, and trace minerals, pearls have been known for many benefits for skin and health. Pearls are natural components found in Mother Nature. It is actually a hard, shining object produced within the soft tissue (specifically the mantle) of a living shelled mollusk.
According to Ayurveda, it helps treating psychoses, reducing body heat, cooling the digestive system, enhancing the skin quality, or providing relief from stress, pearls are an absolute remedy for all the different types of health issues.
Ingredients –
• 10 parts of purified pearl
• Rosewater as required
Preparation Method –
• Purify the Mukta or pearl using buttermilk for 3 days.
• Dry it completely.
• Grind the muktas into a super fine powder using a mortar pestle.
• Pour the powder in a mixing bowl and add rose water to it.
• Keep grinding the mixture to 3-4 days to get a thick paste-like consistency.
• Store it in glass bottles for future use.

Dosage –
The effective therapeutic dosage of Mukta Pishti may vary from person to person depending upon the age, body strength, effects on appetite, severity, and condition of the patient.
Adults –
60 mg to 125 mg, along with milk, honey or water, twice a day, one empty stomach twice a day or as suggested by Ayurvedic physician.
