Triphala Ghrita

Triphala Ghrita is a ghee-based Ayurvedic medicine, which is considered useful in panchakarma (detoxing program). It is prepared by mixing various herbs which provide lots of health benefits.
Triphala is a tridoshic Rasayana, which means its energetics are suitable for Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Rasayanas, according to Charak, have the attributes of promoting strength and immunity. Triphala can be used in the very young, the infirmed, and the elderly because of these properties and tonic energetics.

• Baheda
• Amla
• Adoosa/Vasa
• Daruharidra
• Munakka
• Punarnava
• Sandalwood
• Kali mirch
• Ginger
• Turmeric

Dosage –
Take ½ -1 teaspoon Triphala Ghrita once or twice a day, preferably after meals. You can drink lukewarm water after taking it.

• Weak Eyesight
Triphala Ghrita due to its Chakshushya (good for eyes) property may strengthen eyesight when used regularly. You can take Triphala Ghrita daily until you feel some positive changes in your eyesight.

• Dry eyes(External)
Dryness in the eyes is a common condition that occurs when your tears are unable to provide adequate lubrication for your eyes. Triphala Ghrita has Snigdha (oily) property that helps to soften the area around the eyes, thereby preventing dryness of the eyes. It also controls itching and irritation due to dryness of the eyes. Apply it on eyelids once or twice a day.
• Constipation
According to Ayurveda, constipation is caused due to an aggravated Vata and Pitta dosha. Factors such as frequent consumption of junk food, excess intake of coffee or tea, sleeping late at night, stress and depression, etc. aggravate Vata and Pitta. Triphala Ghrita helps to manage constipation by balancing Vata and Pitta. It also helps to expel waste products from the large intestine due to its Rechana (laxative) property.
• Hair loss
Triphala Ghrita is an effective Ayurvedic polyherbal ghee-based formulation used for hair-related problems especially hair fall. It helps to remove dirt and excess dryness from the scalp as well as promote hair growth. Apply it with fingers on the scalp before sleeping at night. Wash your hair with lukewarm water the next morning. Repeat the same process twice a week.

• Weak immune system
It helps fight against infections in the body and prevent recurrent seasonal infections. This is due to its Rasayana (rejuvenating) property. Thus it helps in making immune system more strong to fight infections.
Side Effects –
Triphala has been shown to be safe in human studies at the recommended dosage. No major side effects have been reported or observed in studies by far.
